How iDebit Works For Depositing & Withdrawing

How to fund your account:

The service that iDebit provides is similar to that of an e-wallet provider in that it serves as a link between your online bank account and your bookmaker and allows you to make payments to and from your bookmaking account without having to enter your bank details.

The key thing to note here is that you must have access to online banking for your bank account to use the iDebit service.

Save time, register for an account:

Assuming you have online banking facilities available, the first thing you should do, certainly if you are planning to use the service more than once, is to register with iDebit to open an account.

You can elect not to do this and sign in as a guest but every time you do this, you need to enter a lot more information and registering first off will save time in the future when making transactions.

Paying at a bookmakers:

iDebit DepositOnce you have registered and linked your account with them to your bank account, you now can head to one of our recommended iDebit betting sites. Log into your account with the bookmaker and visit the ‘My Account’ section of the site (or similar).

When you have loaded up this section, locate the ‘Deposit’ option and click on it and then search through the list of funding options available to find the desired option. Click on this and then you need to enter in some details regarding your iDebit account, the amount you want to deposit and also the password you use on the site to confirm your identity when you sign in.

Once you have confirmed this information and clicked proceed, the transaction will begin. Unlike other forms of bank transfer, which can take up to 48 hours to process, an iDebit transaction is immediate (provided your account or bank account has the funds in place to complete the transaction).

Once confirmed, the funds will be transferred either from your iDebit account balance (if there is one available) or your Bank account and they will be ready for you to spend at your chosen betting site instantly.

How to withdraw winnings:

If you have funds available in your betting account that you would like to withdraw into your iDebit account (and from then on back to your bank account), then this is a relatively easy process to follow.

Once you have made sure that the funds available can be withdrawn, then simply visit the ‘Withdraw’ section on the ‘My Account’ page of your online bookmaker.

Scroll through the different withdrawal options available and find the iDebit icon. Click on this and the Withdrawal screen should load up.

It is important to note at this point that you will need to have used iDebit as a method to fund your account prior to making a withdrawal. Otherwise you’ll need to make a deposit before you can withdraw.

Once the Withdrawal page has loaded up, simply enter in the requested details to complete the transaction including information on your iDebit bank account, how much of the balance you wish to withdraw, plus your password to confirm the transaction.

Once you have instigated the withdrawal of funds, the transaction should be completed within 24 hours.

There are minimum and maximum withdrawal limits for iDebit customers and the minimum withdrawal is usually around £10. Players who expect to withdraw large sums may need to investigate what the maximum withdrawal amount in one transaction is as iDebit tends to offer a low maximum withdrawal amount compared to other payment methods.

Any fee’s/costs associated?

There are no fees to be paid to iDebit by a customer when they fund their sports betting account or make a withdrawal from it.

However, if an account holder then decides to transfer money from their account to their bank, or funds their account from their bank, then a small charge may be levied for that transaction.

Fee’s:

Type of Transaction: Cost:
Opening an account £0
Pay for something via online banking £1.00
Pay directly from your iDebit balance £0
Transfer back to bank account £2.00
Transfer from merchant to iDebit £0

Alternative Options

The main alternatives as a bank transfer service provider is either Bank Transfer or FastBank Transfer. However, neither of these services offer instant depositing like iDebit does and there are also differences in the minimum and maximum amounts that you can transfer with each.

With Bank Transfer for example, the minimum deposit you can make with some bookmakers is £100, which may well put off many smaller stakes punters who don’t want to deposit so much in a single deposit each time.

Although iDebit is a bank transfer system, it does operate in a similar way to e-wallet services and offers a similar service in terms of length of time when making deposits and withdrawals and also how much the minimum deposit can be.

In that case, users seeking an alternative to iDebit could look at the services offered by the likes of Skrill, Neteller and PayPal.

About iDebit

When the company was first set up, or as the parent company is known Instadebit International Solutions Ltd, the service was initially for Canada, however the company soon rolled out its service across the globe and there are now offices for the company located in Malta.

The service has been running for several years and is certainly one of the most popular bank transfer payment options for punters using online bank account to transfer funds quickly and easily to a wide variety of gambling and sports betting sites.
