EPL Weekend Acca Tip – 27th & 28th November

Woohoo! After a number of near misses in the last few weeks, I felt that a win was just around the corner and we landed it in great style in the Champions League this week. We made a profit of over £200 on that one winning acca bet alone and that means that we’ve now landed two big acca winners this season before we’ve even reached December!

That’s not bad going! Especially when you consider that at the time of writing, I still have my Thursday night accumulator going for the Europa League, which I feel has an excellent chance of success.

So now we turn our attention to the weekend and the first of two Matchdays coming up in the space of five days, with Matchday 13 this weekend followed by Matchday 14 from Tuesday to Thursday night next week.

There are some big games to look out for this weekend, especially on Sunday when we have second place Manchester City taking on fourth placed West Ham United, while in the final game of the weekend, Chelsea face Manchester United at Stamford Bridge hoping to become the latest team to inflict defeat on a United side under the temporary charge of Michael Carrick.

With five games on Saturday and five on Sunday, there’s a pretty even split of fixtures this week, but I think the better games come on Sunday and as such, I have gone for three games on Sunday and just the one on Saturday.

Let’s take a closer look at the tips for this week’s acca and here’s hoping we can replicate that big win in midweek!

Bet Analysis: Saturday 27th November

Norwich City v Wolves – Away Win

Norwich have now won both their last two games in the Premier League, which has moved them off the bottom of the table and back in touch with the teams around them. Wolves though are on a good run of form with just one defeat in their last four games. With Raul Jimenez back in the team and looking back to his best, he does add a great deal more threat to a Wolves attack that struggled for goals in his absence. Dean Smith got a good response from his Canaries last week, but this is a big task for them here and I think Wolves may just have enough quality to sneak the win, but only by a single goal.

Bet Analysis: Sunday 28th November

Brentford v Everton – Draw

Both of these teams have had a miserable run of four defeats and one draw in their last five games and it is fair to say that the decent start that both made in the early weeks of the season is nothing but a fond memory now. Of the two, I think Everton are the better quality team but I feel Brentford have a style of play that does tend to cause problems for the so called bigger sides. The Bees best performances at home have come against Arsenal and Liverpool and while Everton are not quite as big as those clubs, I think their form means that this will be a tough game. As such, I think a draw for both teams is the sensible option to back here.

Burnley v Tottenham – Away Win

Antonio Conte got the second half performance he wanted from his Tottenham team last week as they came from a goal down to beat Leeds, and I think he will be looking at this game and telling his team that the level of performance they showed in the second half has to be the norm from now on. Burnley are always a tough team to beat, whatever their form, and Sean Dyche’s men will fancy their chances against a Spurs side whose form away from home has been erratic, but I think Conte’s influence will start to hit home here and I am backing Spurs to claim the win on the road.

Chelsea v Manchester United – Home Win

What a game this promises to be at Stamford Bridge. The Londoners have been in great form in the Premier League losing just once and conceding just four goals in their 12 games so far. In contrast, United’s form of late has been woeful and they have conceded 21 goals in their 12 games, only Norwich and Newcastle have conceded more. That said, United have a good recent record over Chelsea and both the games in the Premier League between the teams last season finished 0-0. I can see goals here, but I do feel it is more likely Chelsea will be the team getting them, so I am backing the home side to land a big win here.
