Football Accumulator Tip – Sunday 21st October

There’s just the one Premier League game this Sunday, Everton facing Crystal Palace at Goodison Park, so I am going to be looking beyond the top flight of English football once again for my accumulator for Sunday.

This time of the year always reminds me of the time I landed a massive acca win using selections mainly taken from Italy and Germany, so who knows, maybe lightning will strike twice and we will be celebrating a big win before we get to Halloween, Bonfire Night and then before you know it, Christmas!

I’m hoping my Saturday acca yesterday landed me a second in a row in the Premier League, but if not then I am hopeful that this good value accumulator may well do the trick.

Let’s take a look at the games I’ve selected for my Sunday accumulator this week.

Bet Analysis: Sunday 21st October

Hamilton v Rangers – Away Win

Steven Gerrard’s Rangers have a very poor away record, but having seen them play a couple of times both domestically and in Europe, I am convinced that they will soon start to pick up points on the road. Hamilton have won just two of their eight games so far this season, losing the other six, so this is a big test for them and in truth, I am not convinced they will be up to the job. Rangers will know that defeat to Livingston last time out really hurt their hopes of pushing on and Gerrard will not accept performances from his players for very long. I am expecting a reaction here from the away side and as such, I am backing Rangers to win.

Hertha Berlin v SC Freiburg – Home Win

Hertha have made a solid start to the season, losing just one of their seven opening games and winning four, to lie fifth in the Bundesliga, one place above Bayern Munich. They face a Freiburg side who are currently in 11th spot in the table with 8 points from their seven games but who have some big hitters, notably Hoffenheim, Leverkusen and Schalke 04, just behind them. It’s an important game for Freiburg to try and get something from, but Hertha have beaten some big name teams at home this season (including Bayern Munich) and as such, I cannot see them dropping any points here.

Everton v Crystal Palace – Home Win

Everton have now won both of their last couple of Premier League games against Fulham and then, most impressively, away at Leicester City. Marco Silva’s team do blow hot and cold, but they are certainly more consistent than Crystal Palace, who are a team who seemingly contrive almost every game, to shoot themselves in the foot. It’s 11th v 14th, so you would expect a close game but in truth, Palace have not won since their trip to Huddersfield in September and I think Everton are starting to gain in confidence a great deal. I can’t see anything here other than a solid win for the home side.

Inter Milan v AC Milan – Draw

The Milan derby is always one of Serie A’s glamour fixtures and this year it takes on an added edge as third-place Inter face 10th place Milan, in the unusual position of having played a game more than their local rivals, and having lost one more game, but still being four points clear of them. Three draws from seven games have not helped Milan climb the table, but even though Inter started well, they are still eight points adrift of Juventus at the top of the table. Derby games are always tough to predict and while the bookies seem to favour the nominated home side Inter here, I have a feeling Milan’s determination may be enough for them to secure a valuable point.
