Premier League Acca Tip – Matchday 7 – 10th And 11th September

Well, we had a rather nice win in midweek in the Champions League! Two away wins on Tuesday Night for Man City and Real Madrid were followed by home wins for Napoli and Spurs on Wednesday which meant that we cruised into profit on the season with a return of over £110!

At the time of writing, I am hoping that my Europa League tips will also come in to land me a bumper midweek win and it is always nice to get the season off to a positive start by picking up a win in the first couple of months of the season.

This weekend, we are back in action in the Premier League and there are some very interesting matches taking place, with the game between the two only undefeated teams in the division, Manchester City and Tottenham at the Etihad, arguably the pick of the matches this week.

Also ones to watch is a Midlands derby were both teams badly need the win as Leicester City host Aston Villa. Arsenal take on Everton hoping for the win to keep themselves top of the table, while Manchester United face a tricky trip to Selhurst Park to take on Crystal Palace.

After a miserable midweek, Liverpool face a must-win home game against a tricky Wolves side who don’t concede many goals and with Liverpool shipping four in midweek, Jurgen Klopp will be expecting a reaction from his team.

Hopefully, my Europa League tips will prove fruitful alongside my Champions League win this week, and here’s hoping that this weekend’s Premier League tips also prove to be a winner!

Bet Analysis: Saturday 10th September

Fulham v Chelsea – Away Win

This London derby is one of the most keenly contested alongside the North London derby and you would ordinarily expect Chelsea to start this game as big favourites. However, all the drama around the change of manager with Thomas Tuchel being sacked and Graham Potter coming in from Brighton won’t have helped them settle ready for this game. Fulham in contrast have been well settled and with Chelsea’s away form poor, they may feel they stand a chance. However, teams bringing in a manager usually get a quick bump in form and confidence and I think that is what will happen here and lead to Chelsea landing a crucial away win.

Leicester City v Aston Villa – Draw

Both of these teams have had miserable starts to the season and both managers Brendan Rodgers and Steven Gerrard are really under pressure to start to turn things around for these two Midlands giants. A draw at home to Manchester City was a good result for Aston Villa, and it could even have been a win had the referee and his line official not made a huge mistake denying Coutinho a late goal. Leicester though fell to a fourth defeat in five games and while I can’t see them losing this one at home against their Midland rivals, I think a draw is the most likely outcome.

Bet Analysis: Sunday 11th September

West Ham v Newcastle Utd – Draw

These two teams have been somewhat of a contrast this season. West Ham have struggled, when I didn’t really expect them to, while Newcastle United have been excellent for the main part and in Alexander Isak, look to have an exciting new striker to lead the front line. For me though, Newcastle need Saint-Maximin back and playing in order to really pick up wins on the road against good teams and I can’t quite see that happening here even against a West Ham side that have struggled at home this season and whose form has been patchy. In truth, I can’t see either team having enough to claim the win here, so a draw is the sensible pick.

Crystal Palace v Man Utd – Away Win

It’s fair to say that these two teams have had contrasting form in their last three or four games. Palace have picked up just two points from the last nine available to drop down the table to 15th, while four wins in a row have propelled Manchester United up the table into fifth and onto the fringes of the early season title race. Palace do have a knack for raising their game against the top teams but I think the form United are in, even if they are not playing quite the fluid football Erik Ten Hag would like, means that they are the favourites to win this game. I can see them doing that, even if the methodology to do so isn’t the prettiest.
