Sunday’s Premier League Treble – 28th October

This Sunday we have three big games in the Premier League, which Acca Tipsmakes me think back to the last Premier League treble I did a few weeks ago which landed me a lovely win just short of £90 in total.

So, with that fresh in my memory, I am going to do the same again today and not bother adding Monday night’s big clash between Manchester City and Spurs at Wembley into the equation (though if I had have done, I would have been picking a Manchester City win in that game).

The games today are a real mix with two seeing top teams travelling to lesser opponents to see if they can grab another win to keep up their hopes of challenging for the title, while Manchester United face Everton in what is always a tasty encounter between the two rivals from opposite ends of the East Lancashire Road.

So how do we see each of the three games going? Well, I think this weekend does see the potential for something of a shock result in one of these games and if I am right, that bodes well for a nice little return on a standard bet.

Here’s my tips for Sunday’s Premier League treble.

Bet Analysis: Sunday 28th October

Burnley v Chelsea – Away Win

Chelsea’s impressive start to the season means that they are going to go into almost all their matches as strong favourites and especially against a Burnley side who struggled at the foot of the table in the opening weeks of the season. However since then, Sean Dyche’s men have seen an upturn in performances and results, including a 4-0 thrashing of an in-form Bournemouth a few weeks ago, which suggests Chelsea may need to be on their guard. However, I struggle to see how Burnley’s defence can cope with the threat posed by the likes of Willian, Barkley, Giroud, Hazard and co and while I do think Burnley will make a real game of this, I do fancy Chelsea to come away with another three points here.

Crystal Palace v Arsenal – Draw

This is my surprise prediction this weekend as going into this game, Arsenal have been flying in the league and Crystal Palace have found goals very difficult to come by and have been letting in a fair few poor goals at the other end. However, I have seen some positive signs for Palace fans over the last few games and I think Roy Hodgson is very close to turning this team into a genuinely competitive force. Arsenal’s defence is their weakspot and Selhurst Park is a place where weaknesses can be magnified. Palace are going to get it right against somebody sooner rather than later and with plenty to prove, plus the added attraction of a London derby, I am backing them to pick up a good point here in what should be an entertaining game.

Manchester United v Everton – Home Win

United’s troubles this season are well-documented but that comeback win over Newcastle United a few weeks back shows how they can perform as a team when they get things right. What must be worrying for United fans though is that they look a much more potent outfit when Marouane Fellaini is shoved up front to be used as a target man. Everton come into this game in better form and I think they will give United a real test, but their form at Old Trafford is poor over the years and I can’t see how their back line will cope with the threat of United’s attack, so I am going for a solid home win here.
