Sunday Football Accumulator – Sun 31st March

The second set of tips for our accumulator bets this weekend comprises of two games from the Premier League involving three teams in the top six, as well as one battling relegation. Plus we also take in two Serie A games, including a big clash at the San Siro later in the evening.

I’m hoping that my selections for Saturday will have seen us land a winner and my selections today are somewhat limited, which has resulted in a relatively short odds bet based on the four selections. The positive side of this though being that I feel this acca has an outstanding chance of success.

The big game this weekend is at Anfield in the Premier League and Liverpool will likely need to beat Tottenham to return to the summit of the Premier League, depending on the outcome of the Fulham v Man City game on Saturday lunchtime. This was a game packed with incident and controversy last season so it should be an entertaining game to watch.

I’ve not done too badly when I have backed some Serie A games alongside other matches across Europe some weeks in these bets and I think the two games I have selected have a nice mix of a very good chance of being correct and offering some decent odds too, which helps increase the value of the accumulator.

So without any further ado, here’s my quartet of tips for Sunday.

Bet Analysis: Sunday 31st March

Parma v Atalanta – Away Win

A few years ago, Parma would have been the runaway favourites to win this game but this season, after just nine wins from their 28 games, the home side lie 11th in the table with 33 points, which is a dozen fewer than Atalanta have landed so far this season. The Bergamo-based side have enjoyed a very good season and are level on points with Lazio and just a couple behind Roma in fifth. They are built on an outstaniding youth set up which has produced a number of quality players. Their recent form is good too with just one defeat in their last five, while Parma have had three losses over that period and as such, while I can see this one being close, I think the odds just shade Atalanta winning this one. Remember to get your bet on early however as this one kicks off at 11.30am on Sunday.

Cardiff City v Chelsea – Away Win

Cardiff City fans will know that this is going to be a tough afternoon, even against a Chelsea side that have struggled for form in recent weeks. The pressure on manager Sarri is pretty much incessant and it can’t be a healthy environment for the Chelsea players to play in and with news of a transfer ban, plus Hazard seemingly set for departure, it does feel like the end of an era. That said, Chelsea have still got more than enough talent to win this game and with Cardiff struggling, especially against the top sides at home, I am backing the Londoners to come away with the points.

Liverpool v Tottenham – Home Win

This game was a hugely dramatic one last season with two late penalties for Spurs either side of a Mo Salah wonder strike that seemed to have won the game for Liverpool. There won’t be any VAR this time around in this game and I feel Liverpool are the team to back here. There home form has been superb all season long and Spurs recent form on the road has been shocking with three defeats in a row. Harry Kane and Dele Alli returning will help Spurs in that regard but I think with the atmosphere at Anfield likely to be fever pitch, that should inspire the home side to land the victory that they are likely going to need to go back top of the table.

Inter Milan v Lazio – Home Win

Inter Milan lie third in Serie A seven points behind Napoli in second but a massive 22 points behind Juventus who are top of the table. They lead their city rivals AC Milan by two points in what could be a crucial Champions League qualification race. Therefore a win over sixth placed Lazio would help their cause a great deal. Lazio’s form of late has been solid and they have lost one fewer (one) in their last five than Inter. However, I feel Inter have home advantage, Lazio don’t travel well to Milan and the fact that Inter have been more consistent at home this season means I am just about favouring them to land the win.
