Sunday’s Football Acca – Sunday 7th April

Last week saw us almost land both Saturday and Sunday accumulator bets with just one result denying us on both days. While frustrating, the positive from that is that 6 out of the 8 results were on the money, and I can feel that a win is in the offing.

It could come today if it has not already arrived with Saturday’s accumulator. Due to a lack of action, we have just the one Premier League game today, but it is a cracker between Everton and Arsenal at Goodison Park, a game that the Gunners have had well the better of in recent years.

To accompany that game I have gone for the FA Cup Semi Final between Watford and Wolves at Wembley plus two games from Serie A, Parma facing Torino and then the big game later on in the afternoon when sure-fire Champions-to-be Juventus host AC Milan in what should be a cracking encounter.

I am hopeful that if I can get as close to the right results as I did with last week’s selections then maybe that elusive win could be just around the corner and I like the odds on this accumulator bet for Sunday in particular.

Here’s my tips for each of those games.

Bet Analysis: Sunday 7th April

Parma v Torino – Away Win

Last week I correctly predicted that Atalanta, who are flying high in Serie A at the moment, would end up as the winners on their trip to the Ennio Tardini stadium to take on Parma. This week, it is fellow high-flyers Torino who make the trip and in truth, I can see a similar result to last week being the outcome. Torino may be eighth in the table but they have the same points total as Atalanta, Lazio and Roma above them and they are 15 points ahead of Parma who are suffering from a real lack of form of late. As such, I can see Torino, who have lost just six times this season, picking up the three points here.

Everton v Arsenal – Away Win

Arsenal have won eight of the last nine fixtures between these two teams and some of those wins have been by a big margin, including a 5-2 victory in this same fixture last season. The Gunners are in good form at the moment under Unai Emery and have moved into real contention to finish third in the table. Everton though have won both their last two games after coming through something of a sticky spell themselves and they will want that run to continue here. However they have not had a sustained run of good results this season and their record against top six sides is very poor. I can see this being close, but I still fancy that Arsenal will be the team that comes out on top and claims the win.

Watford v Wolves – Draw

You would have got long odds backing these two teams to be competing against each other in the second FA Cup Semi Final of the weekend but there is no doubt that Watford and Wolves deserve their place at Wembley. It’s not just solid cup performances that have helped them, their league form too has been solid with both teams 7th and 8th in the table and just one point separating the two. Watford did beat Wolves at Molineux back in September but I think the confidence Wolves will have gained from their second win over Man Utd in the space of a few weeks probably makes them slight favourites. Even so I do feel that a draw at full time is the most likely result, with Wolves perhaps winning it in extra time.

Juventus v AC Milan – Home Win

With eight games of the Serie A season to go, Juventus need just seven more points to be completely sure of the Serie A title but in truth, they have already got the trophy wrapped up and it is only a matter of time before they are officially confirmed as Champions. They face a Milan side who missed a chance to close the gap on Inter in third last time out with a draw, but who did end a two game losing streak in earning that point. However, Juventus , who have lost just one game this season, are the class act in this division and in truth, they should run out comfortable winners of this game.
