Sunday’s Fourfold Accumulator – Sunday 28th April

Following on from Saturday’s tips, I have put together the three games taking place in the Premier League on Sunday together with an intriguing match up in Serie A that I think offers excellent value to make up a good value Sunday fourfold bet.

Today’s games include some pivotal games in the race for the Champions League qualification spot, starting with Leicester’s game with Arsenal, where the Foxes themselves still harbour hopes of landing a Europa League qualification spot by finishing seventh (if results go their way in other competitions). Arsenal are in a battle for a place in the top four but their current form is poor and this promises to be a real test.

This is followed by Burnley taking on Manchester City at Turf Moor with the home side in a decent run of form but facing a Manchester City side that seem to have come through a very tough run of games without dropping a point and for whom a win will be enough to keep them ahead of Liverpool chasing them down for the Premier League title.

Finally, the big game of the weekend comes at Old Trafford where an out of sorts Manchester United, who have lost eight of their last ten games, face Chelsea who are not in brilliant form themselves but who are certainly in a stronger position than the home side. With both sides battling it out for a top four spot, this should be a cracker.

To cap things off, I’ve also backed the Spal v Genoa game in Serie A with the home side an intriguing prospect having won four of their last five.

Let’s see my four tips for Sunday’s matches in more detail.

Bet Analysis: Sunday 28th April

Leicester City v Arsenal – Home Win

Arsenal have suffered a worrying slump in form of late, they are shipping goals at an alarming rate and a 3-1 defeat away to Wolves in midweek, their third loss in four games, really has put them in a tough position in their quest for Champions League qualification. Leicester still have hopes for a Europa League spot this season but this is the first of three very tough games to finish the season for the Foxes but I feel it is the one that they have most chance of winning against an out of sorts Arsenal and in front of their home fans. I can see both teams scoring but I fancy Leicester to do just enough for the win.

SPAL v Genoa – Home Win

If you take a look at the Serie A table then there is little to choose between these two sides. SPAL currently occupy 13th spot in the table with 38 points from 33 games, while Genoa occupy 15th place with 34 points. However the teams most recent form tells a different story. Genoa are bottom of the current form table with just one draw in their last five games, losing the rest while only Juventus can match SPAL’s record over the last five, winning four and losing just the one game. With SPAL also having home advantage and Genoa not being a particularly strong side on the road, I feel that this game, despite the odds on a SPAL win being somewhat longer than expected, looks destined to be a home win.

Burnley v Man City – Away Win

Both of these sides come into this game in excellent form, with Manchester Cityu winning all eleven of their last Premier League matches while Burnley’s recent upturn in form saw them earn a draw at Chelsea on Monday night last week to all but ensure their Premier League status for another season. City need to win this to keep up their quest for the title and they have already beaten Burnley handsomely on two occasions this season, in both the league and FA Cup. Burnley though proved that they are dangerous opponents against Chelsea and they made life very tough for Liverpool at Turf Moor and at Anfield more recently. City may not have things all their own way in this one but I am still backing them to grab the win here to keep them on track for the title.

Man Utd v Chelsea – Away Win

Manchester United come into this game on the back of their worst run of form in living memory. They have lost eight of their last ten games and their only wins in that run have been unconvincing home wins over Watford and West Ham. Chelsea’s form is a little better but they too have struggled at times, losing at Anfield 2-0 and also drawing at home to Burnley on Monday night. Chelsea could also be without Kante and Hudson-Odoi for this game but even so, I still fancy that their better form and confidence will be enough for them to inflict yet more pain on a United side that just look lost at the present moment in time.
