Thursday Acca Tip: October 3rd 2019

Our last set of tips for an accumulator in the Europa League (and the Champions League for that matter) didn’t quite hit the mark but I have been very close on a number of accas in the Premier League, including just being minutes away from a £770+ acca win, so I am confident that my luck will change sooner or later.

Hopefully we may have already landed a winner with my set of Champions League tips earlier this week, but if not then I think this fourfold accumulator for Thursday’s Europa League should be in with a great chance.

I have focused a lot on the British teams from the SPL and the EPL for this accumulator as I am more familiar with how they have been playing over the last few weeks and every last bit of information helps.

So with that in mind, here are my Thursday night acca tips for the Europa League.

Bet Analysis: Thursday 3rd October

AZ Alkmaar v Manchester United  – Home Win

My gut feeling here is that with a team crippled with a lack of confidence and struggling to find fit strikers to spearhead the team, goals at a Premium and pressure being heaped on the manager, Manchester United are not going to enjoy this trip to Holland. United don’t have the best record historically in Holland anyway and AZ Alkmaar are a tricky side, who performed well in the Eredivisie last season and who have started this season brightly too. The fact the game will be played in Den Haag’s stadium may help United but even so, I fancy the home side to claim a big victory here in the context of the group.

Besiktas v Wolves – Home Win

With both these teams getting off to losing starts in the group, the pressure is on both to avoid defeat here but unfortunately, that looks a very tough ask of this Wolves side at present. Ahead of their game with Watford on Saturday, Wolves are yet to win in the Premier League and Besiktas recent record at home to English teams in European competition is pretty good with wins over Tottenham and Liverpool in the last few years to look back on. A fully firing and confident Wolves I would have backed to have picked up a point here, but at the moment, I think the ball is in Besiktas favour and I am backing the Turkish side to take the win.

Young Boy v Rangers – Home Win

I feel like I am picking on the British sides away from home a bit with these selections as for my third pick, I am backing the Swiss side Young Boys to earn the victory over Rangers. I was impressed with Rangers win over Feyenoord in their first group game, but I think Young Boys are a team whose experience over the years has given them an added edge. They have played more meaningful and important games in Europe over the last few years than Rangers have and I just feel they are a more well rounded side. At Ibrox, I’d have probably plumped for the Gers, but in Switzerland, I think this will be another home win.

Celtic v CFR Cluj – Home Win

Celtic get the chance to exact some revenge for CFR Cluj knocking them out of the Champions League in the preliminary phases earlier this season as they face the Romanian side once again. Both teams sit at the top of their respective domestic tables after a positive start and I think this will be a game that is, once again, packed with incident and goals. However, Celtic will have learned from those last two matches between the teams and I am confident that having a second chance against them in the Europa League, they will not make the same mistakes twice and will just about do enough to get the win in this one on Thursday.
