Weekend Acca Tips: 19th & 20th October 2019

We didn’t have any luck last weekend with our international tips, but I Acca Tipssuppose I was due a poor weekend given that I have been regularly hitting 3/4 results over the last few weeks and have already landed one big win this season.

This week we return to the familiar surrounds of the Premier League for our selections and of course, we are including Sunday’s massive game at Old Trafford between Manchester United and Liverpool, as well as Manchester City’s very tricky trip to Selhurst Park to take on an in-form Crystal Palace team.

We already know that a number of teams are going to have some key personnel unavailable for the games this weekend after picking up injuries on international duty, who will be able to cope the best with that to pick up a valuable win at the weekend? Here’s my tips for this weekend’s best acca bet.

Bet Analysis: Saturday 19th October

Everton v West Ham  – Draw

Can Marco Silva turn things around at Everton? With results going against them last weekend, the Toffees saw themselves drop into the relegation zone and that has sent pulses racing on Merseyside, especially with their fierce rivals at the top of the table and with an unblemished record. West Ham come into this game in some decent form however and they have a decent record recently at Goodison Park. Historically, Everton have had the advantage in this fixture, but I feel this West Ham team is made of sterner stuff and is well suited to capitalise on the nervy atmosphere at Goodison Park at the moment. This will be tight and nervy and I think as a result, a draw is the most likely outcome.

Wolves v Southampton – Home Win

After landing their first win of the season at home to Watford, Wolves then repeated that victory with an astonishing 2-0 victory away to Manchester City last time out, with Adama Traore scoring both the goals late in the game to hand Wolves a massive boost. That win moved them into mid-table and means they are now well above Southampton who lie just one place above the drop zone. Ralph Hassenhuttl is finding life tougher this season than when he took over last time around and I think this is going to be another tough afternoon for them against a Wolves side whose confidence at the moment must be soaring. I don’t just feel Wolves will win this one, I feel they will win it comfortably.

Crystal Palace v Manchester City – Away Win

Last season only four teams in the Premier League managed to defeat Manchester City, one of those teams was Crystal Palace. Coming after a run of two defeats in their last four games in the Premier League, this is a game that Manchester City fans will know is vital as they are already eight points adrift of Liverpool and if they were to move further behind even at this early stage of the season, it would make coming back incredibly difficult. The Eagles could move above City with a win here and I expect them to make this very difficult for the visitors, who could be without Sergio Aguero for this game. However, I do feel that City still have more than enough quality to earn a victory here and keep themselves in touch with Liverpool at the top of the table.

Bet Analysis: Sunday 20th October

Manchester United v Liverpool – Away Win

One of the biggest games of the season in the Premier League gets underway at Old Trafford on Sunday with Liverpool chasing their ninth successive win since the start of the season and United determined to end their dominant start and pick up some much needed points themselves. It is so odd to see United below mid-table in the Premier League but that is where they deserve to be, just as their opponents deserve to be top of the table by eight points. They may have scraped a win over Leicester last time out, thanks to a late penalty, but it was a game that Liverpool dominated and really should have had won. I back United to start fast here but I can see Liverpool catching United on the counter attack and claiming another impressive win.
