Weekend Acca Tips – 31st August & 1st September

It was a feast of away day victories last weekend in the Premier League and it is rare Acca Tipsthat you go an entire full weekend of Premier League games and see just one home win in the 10 games.

I think that will change this week as I do fancy a fair number of home team wins as you will see from my tips below.

I’ve really ramped up the action this week as I have included one extra tip compared to usual, which means that if the acca lands, then we could land a very sizeable win.

Here’s hoping that the following tips for Saturday and Sunday prove to be a winner!

Bet Analysis: Saturday 31st August

Crystal Palace v Aston Villa  – Home Win

After a disappointing midweek loss to Colchester in the League Cup, Crystal Palace will be hoping to maintain better league form, following up their win at Old Trafford with three points at home to newly promoted Aston Villa. Dean Smith’s men though come into this game on the back of a fine 2-0 win over Everton and Palace’s notoriously inconsistent home form could be a real issue for the club if they cannot string some wins together. Roy Hodgson has a very talented squad here and Palace should not be fighting the drop. They should be too strong for Villa here and as such, I am backing them for the win.

Leicester City v Bournemouth – Home Win

I think that both these teams have enjoyed solid starts to the season. Bournemouth didn’t disgrace themselves in defeat to Man City last week and Leicester have already picked up some very good points on the road at Wolves and Chelsea. For me, although Bournemouth are traditionally quick starters in the Premier League, I feel Leicester are a real team to watch this season. I love the moves they made in the transfer window in the summer and I think that they have the players to make a real run at the top six this season and as such, I am expecting a win for the Foxes here.

Newcastle United v Watford – Home Win

After a hugely disappointing performance away to Norwich, Newcastle then produced a superb display to beat Tottenham 1-0 on the road and pick up their first points of the season. Watford are still looking to do that after three defeats on the bounce for Javi Gracia’s men, a run that stretches to seven games if you include the end of last season. That must be a real worry for the Hornets with Troy Deeney out injured and Newcastle likely to be buoyed by their win last week. As such, I am backing Newcastle to eke out a narrow win in this one.

Bet Analysis: Sunday 1st September

Everton v Wolves – Draw

Wolves have drawn all three of their games this season, while Everton have drawn one of their three games and I am not going to surprise too many fans by going for the draw here. I think both these teams have genuine top six and European qualification aspirations this season but I also feel they are just perhaps a tad short compared to other teams in that position. Wolves tend to go better against the better quality sides and as such, I think they’ll make things tough for the home side here and come away from Goodison with their fourth draw of the season.

Arsenal v Tottenham – Home Win

Over the last ten games between these sides, each team has won three apiece with the other games draws. There is little between them in terms of form either with both losing last weekend, although the Gunners have picked up two wins in their first two games. For me though, Arsenal are the better form side here. Spurs hangover from last season seems to have run through into this and it is only by massive good fortune in their game with City that they don’t have 2 losses from 3 games this season. The Gunners are showing signs of improvement and with home advantage, I think they will get the win in this one.
