Sunday’s Football Acca Tip: 19th August 2018

With there being three games on Sunday in the Premier League, I have decided to put together aAccumulator Tip little treble bet from the three games taking place on Sunday. Both Manchester giants are in action and will fancy their chances of a win against Huddersfield and Brighton, but will they get it?

The other game comes at Turf Moor and sees Burnley, who were the surprise team of last season, take on Javi Gracia’s Watford who began the season well with a 2-0 win over Brighton at Vicarage Road last weekend.

It’s still very early in the season as yet and this is a tricky time with little in the way of meaningful form to go on for teams, but even so, we began brightly last season and I’m confident of enjoying a decent Sunday at the bookies expense with these tips.

Bet Analysis: Sunday 19th August

Burnley v Watford – Home Win

Burnley got off to a solid start with a 0-0 draw at Southampton last weekend, while Watford also did well, winning 2-0 at home to Brighton. Of the two though, I think Burnley are by far the better team and I think Sean Dyche’s team will continue to improve this season, although their Europa League campaign may put pressure on their resources. Watford do blow hot and cold but their away form isn’t great of late, despite being good early last season and I see this as being a tight game which Burnley will snatch by a single goal in the second half to claim what would be a very useful win.

Manchester City v Huddersfield Town – Home Win

I remember tipping this game last season as a landslide win for Manchester City (as just about every Premier League tipster did) and then Huddersfield went to the Etihad Stadium and became the first team in the Premier League to stop Manchester City from scoring a goal on their home patch earning a 0-0 draw. While I’d love to think Huddersfield could do that, or something similar, once again, the truth is I do expect another easy win for City here, just as they did against Arsenal last week. Pep Guardiola’s men sent out a big message last weekend that they are no one season wonders and I’d be shocked if they didn’t bag at least three or four goals in this one without reply.

Brighton v Manchester United – Draw

Last season Brighton stunned Manchester United at the AMEX Stadium to come away with a 1-0 win and while Chris Hughton would love his team to do the same again this year, I can’t see it myself. United weren’t that impressive against Leicester despite the win and Jose Mourinho is now entering that three-year stage where it has gone wrong for him at almost all his other clubs that he has managed. Normally this would be a cast iron United win for me , but I just think the way things are, Brighton could well snatch a surprise point here and heap more pressure on the Portuguese boss at United.
